Please Note

Please take note that the post below is my last public blog post. I started this blog as a way to keep my family and friends updated on the Bieger family and especially to share pics and stories of my children. However, since I own an internet business, I'm finding that a small group of people feel entitled to use my personal blog to pass judgment, create gossip, competiton, and general petty remarks against me. It's a group that finds conflict with almost anyone so I'm not generally concerned with their opinions.

However, since I'm 30, not 13, I just don't have time for that silliness. Besides, with the nature of Erick's work, it's probably safest if I don't have a public blog anyway. I had been considering doing this for some time and it's finally time to just get it taken care of.

I know that many of our family and friends have told me that they read my blog. I don't have a mailing list of everyone or anything like that. So if you would like to continue reading my blog, please email me at shannonbieger@yahoo.com. I honestly enjoy that my family and friends read this and I would be honored if you would like to continue. But if I don't know you in real life then I'm sorry, this blog will no longer be public.

How horrible that you are having to deal with such childish people! You have done such a wonderful thing creating DST. You don't deserve that at all. I will miss reading your blog.

I am sorry you are having to deal with these kind of people who have nothing better to do. I've loved getting to "know" your family and respect the way you've portrayed your faith throughout this blog. I feel that through your example, I've learned a lot about how I could behave better, more like the Christian I want to be, and for that I thank you! I too will miss reading your blog.

Oh Shannon! I'm so sorry to hear that you won't be sharing your blog with us all anymore, but I understand. I started reading your blog when I was at 2 peas and I am now a regular at DST. I also have 2 dd's ages 5 and 2 and am expecting my 3rd this November. I just want you to know that although I have never commented here, I have enjoyed getting to know you and your family better and wish you lots of luck with the new baby. --heatherly

I am sincerely disappointed and really quite crushed that it has come to this. I so enjoyed reading your blog and watching your adorable children grow even though I've never met you personally. I DO absolutely understand your position though...please at least post an update in the forums from time to time. Thanks for letting us get to know your lovely family.

That is so awful! You are such a sweet person! But you are probably right to do so. Hugs, girl!

I am very sad to read this :( I hate how a small few have to ruin everything :(

Shannon, I am sorry to hear that we will no longer be able to hear about your darling girls, but it definitely sounds like this is the best decision for you and your family. It is unfortunate that there are people in this world who garner their self-worth from deriding others. Hugs to you!

Lynnette said...

Wow, I can't believe anyone would do that. How awful!

I just joined the Blog Train and you were the one above me. I had to hunt down your blog site, though, and maybe this is why. I'm sorry that you've had a rough time with negative when there is so much good to share. I hope you find joy in sharing your stories and your art in private with those who know and love you. And conintued success with your internet business!

Shannon....I am so sorry you have to do this. I have loved reading your blog and the adventures of your children. Your family's faith and beliefs were always an inspiration to me. It is a shame that a few bad apples had to do this. I will miss reading your blog but certainly understand

That's sad :(

I will really miss reading your blog, as I have a 19 month old daughter, and I really enjoy hearing about Kyla. Even Mckenna - then I know what I can look forward to!

I hope you keep us up to date on them and baby Bieger on DST!

So sorry to hear what you are going through from people that exhibit such a horrible sin as jealousy. Although I have never commented (or maybe I have once or twice), I have been a loyal "fan" of you and your family blog for quite some time. My DD just turned 4 and reminds me of your McKenna in sooo many ways. She was even Dorothy for Halloween last year so when I saw your dd's bday was the wizard of oz theme, I thougt that was so cute! Just from reading your blog I feel like I would connect with you on so many levels... I am also 30 and teach Kindergarten and some of the kiddy stories you share just crack me up. I also always admire you when you share your faith and talk to your children about it; just the way it should be... so important for our children to know about the love from our heavenly father. My dd also LOVES the Princess collection books (which we gave to her for her bday on 07-07-07) based on your recommendation. Thanks for sharing these great Princess books which we just can't get enough of!! I hope to catch a glimpse of you and the new baby to be someday, but surely understand. I thank you for your light heartedness and sincere honesty. Your blog will be missed reading on a daily basis. May God Bless you and your beautiful family! ;o)

I have to add my name to the rest saying sorry you're having to deal with these frustrations and having to close down your blog, although it's probably the right choice. I've been reading your blog for years after finding it through Relevant, and have enjoyed keeping up with your pregnancies and kids. Good luck with the next little one! You have such a sweet family.

Long time reader, first time commenter here :). I discovered your blog a couple of years ago from when you were on the Relevant Boards. Anyway I've always been enchanted by your writing and the stories of your girls. You are truly a great mom and it's so dissapointing to hear that adult woman are being so ridiculous. All the best with your current pregnancy and new baby on the way. Don't let any of the crazies get to you. You deserve everything you've worked for. I will definitely miss this blog.

Shannon...I see that I'm not the only one any more who regularly read your blog but didn't post! =)I'm very sad that you will no longer be keeping your blog available for us long-time readers. Although I haven't been a part of your life for a while now, reading about your family and your precious girls made me feel somehow 'close' to you still. I miss hanging out with you and your family and I'm very sorry that petty people had to ruin a good thing. I won't email you separately (because I'm sure you'll be getting a bunch) but if you will allow me, I would love to continue reading and being inspired by your words. robin@maras.com

I don't know you in real life (I am a DST member) but I have enjoyed reading your blog and will miss it. I also understand that it is often better for a family to have some privacy. I just wanted to add my voice to those who haven't commented in the past but have nice thoughts about you and your blog. I have appreciated the positive way in which you express your love for your family and for life in general :)

WHAT?! I can't even fathom how anyone can take anything you've written and turn it into something ugly. What a bunch of losers.
I'm emailing you right now girl.
Sorry to hear that you had to go through that and that people can be so stupid.

Hey Shannon, Another long time reader, here. I am so sorry that you are dealing with this kind of crisis.I have not commented on many occasions here other than wishing you on your birthday. My day doesn't start without reading your blog and a couple of others. I am a member of DST (even though I am not as active in digi scrapping community as I want to be due to lack of time)I have a 3.5 year old daughter & a 6 month old son and i really enjoy your kid stories. You have a very beautiful family and an equally generous heart. I also admire your style of writing . On tough days your blog and particularly your kid stuff brings me a warm smile and gets me through the day.. I am definitely going to miss your blog.. If you allow me I would love to continue reading your blog that brightens my day every day.. If not, even though I would be greatly disappointed, I understand your feelings..Wishing you & your family the very best..

I am going to send you an email anyway..

Shannon,
How pitiful. This world makes me sadder everyday. But then I come across people like you and most of the women at DST and there is hope. I know you'll be fine, but it's just sad!

OMG...how immature can people be? I'm so sorry Shannon. What a shame!

Brandi said...

Blah. I hadn't visited for a while and came to see if there was news here about DST, to find this post, too. :( I'm sorry people have acted like that. The anonymity of the internet makes for some godawful behavior at times.

oh, sooo sorry, that you have to deal with such people! You are such a wonderful lady and I'm really sorry, that you can't share your stories with us.... but I understand your decision!
I will miss to read your blog

Hi Shannon and Family,

I have never been on your blog before, googled it because DST was down :( I hope all goes well for DST and have my fingers crossed for you guy's ( and us *lol). So sad that you have to make your blog private that is so unfair, if people can't say something nice they shouldn't comment!!!! I sometimes feel people say things on the net they would never say to your face KWIM??? They need to realise if you say it or type it, it still reflects on their personality!!!!

Good luck and stay strong!!!! Sonia

Hi Shannon, I just discovered your blog today (through a link on Olive Juice), I am so sorry to hear about the lame comments you have been getting! That is just terrible! I can see you live in Orange County (as do I) and we have a ton of "likes" in common. I wish you much success with your business and congrats on the 3rd baby.
