Happiness times THREE!

McKenna's recital went wonderfully! I'm actually going to blog about that tomorrow because I wanna share the video and Erick still has to edit out all the extra stuff (unless you want to watch 70 dancers take their final bows?) LOL! I'm guessing no! So we'll edit it so you can see McKenna's dance and her final bow when she receives her dancer's medal and I'll get that up tomorrow for you.

I do have an exciting Bieger Family announcement though!

Here's a hint!

A video I just ordered:

A test I just passed:

WE'RE EXPECTING BABY #3!!!!!!

We just found out on Friday!! We were actually planning to try next month. Usually we chart temperatures and all that because once we decide we want to try for a baby, we don't want to just chance it and miss our opportunity. So usually our pregnancies are VERY planned. I was all geared up for my period to come so I could start my chart but nope, not this time! = D

I really didn't think it was possible to be pregnant this month. I had a few symptoms throughout the week but you know, that can happen even when you're not pregnant so I didn't give it much thought. Then on Friday I was talking to my sister and telling her that it was possible but HIGHLY unlikely. We were doing the "pregnancy math" and I realized that it actually WAS possible...but still, not probable. As the day went on I started thinking "Hmm.....I just might be."

I waited anxiously for Erick to get home from work. As soon as he walked in the door, I grabbed the car keys and said I needed to run to the store for some items for dinner. I got the groceries and a pregnancy test, loaded the groceries in the car and ran across the street to a restaurant bathroom. I took the test in there, praying it would be positive. Within seconds, there were two lines!!!! I couldn't believe it! I was so thrilled and it took everything I had to not run back to the car with a goofy grin on my face!

I drove home and unloaded the groceries. Then I told Erick that I had brought us a special dessert. I held out a little tub of ice cream and a jar of pickles. He said "Oh...." (and later admitted that he was distracted by the fact that I'd picked out an ice cream flavor he didn't like). Then he realized it was ice cream and pickles and his face got quizzical. He looked at me and asked what it was. I said "Doesn't everybody like to eat this kind of dessert?" He said "No....are you....pregnant?" I said YEP! He was so happy and he gave me a big hug.

We decided to go ahead and tell the girls. McKenna said "EW!" and Kyla started babbling. Then McKenna came running up to me and hugged and kissed my belly and said "Hi baby!" Kyla came up and gave me a hug and a kiss too. I don't think she understands that a baby is coming exactly but she knew something special happened.

It's been funny the different things that McKenna says now.

* She said she wants a brother but she keeps calling the baby both "he" and "she". She said "Mommy, let's pray to God for the baby." When we prayed, she asked for God to make the baby a girl. She's recommended the names "Kyla" "Sweet Baby" and "Marma". LOL!

* Whenever I eat food, she always says "Oh no! Mommy, baby is eating all your food!"

* She is convinced that babies are born out of your butt. LOL! I've tried to explain otherwise but that is incomprehensible to her!

* She can't wait for the baby to come so that she can share my hospital food with me again. LOL!

* She is looking forward to playing freeze dance with the baby and to making silly faces with the baby.

We've told just about everyone except for Erick's parents (they weren't able to make it to the recital and that's when we told our families) and my Grandma (who is on a cruise). So if you're someone who talks to any of those people, please don't tell them yet! ; )

We're not exactly sure of the due date but my best guess is January 26, 2008. I'm gonna call tomorrow to make an appointment with the OB. Hopefully I can get in soon and they'll do an u/s to date the pregnancy.

No, we aren't trying for a boy. We are just as in love with the idea of having a family with all girls as we are with the idea of having a little boy. Children are children and God will give us just the right family dynamic. Whatever we find out at the 20-week ultrasound, I know I will be ecstatic.

We do have names picked out. Well, mostly. For a boy we like Killian Joshua. For a girl we like Katelyn. The girl middle name is still being decided. I like Johanna (nickname Katie Jo) and Erick likes Katelyn Abigail. Both are pretty so we'll probably pray and see if our hearts settle on one of those.

For those who have followed our past two pregnancy journals, YES I'm definitely gonna do a weekly pregnancy journal for this little sprout too. I'll be sure to link you up once I've got it started!

I'm just so excited!! I was just starting to get baby fever this month and I'm so glad that we got to be surprised for a change! I can't wait to know who this little one is and to have a newborn in the house again. I can't wait to see how Kyla will be as a big sister and to see how McKenna will be now that she'll be a little older. Right now she is always helping us change Kyla's diapers and helps look out for Kyla. When the baby is born, she'll be 4 1/2 so it'll be neat to see how she'll be then. Kyla will be almost 2 1/2...just a smidge older than Kenna was when she was born. So I feel good about the age difference between all 3 kids. I think they're going to be close and have so much fun together like the girls do now. : )

I'm feeling alright. I've had a pretty bad headache for 2 days now and I'm sooo tired. But I'm happy and trying to prepare myself for the morning sickness that I know is coming!

Your prayers are coveted and appreciated! : )

Here's a layout I did about finding out:
