I had fun shopping today! I'm excited about the goodies I bought!
I got this face tint from Victoria's Secret:
I tried a little on in the store and then decided I didn't need it. But as I shopped, I would catch glimpses of myself in the mirror and I REALLY liked the way it looked! I wasn't wearing hardly any makeup. Just a little undereye concealer and one coat of mascara. But once I put on a little of the bronzer, I looked all fresh faced and healthy! So I went back to buy it because it's perfect for the 80% of the time when I'm not gonna do full makeup just to dump the trash or take McKenna to school.
And I got some Lip Plumper:
Lip Plumper is kind of a masochistic thing. It's really just a gloss that burns your lips to get the blood flowing and plump them up. I wouldn't say that my lips necessarily looked "plumper" but it was a really pretty clear gloss and my lips FELT fuller. So with my bronzer and a coat of mascara it sort of completed the "bare makeup" look.
While I was at Victoria's Secret, I got a cute "under set" too but I don't think I'll link that. Not only because my family reads my blog but also, why give perverts a reason to hang around right? ; )
I got this flower halter tunic from Forever 21:
And this Milena jacket to go over it:
I'm really into mixing patterns right now and I thought these would go really well with the navy capri jeans and the silver Steve Maddens I bought a couple weeks ago.
Then I went to Express and picked up a pretty white blouse to wear when Erick and I go out for my birthday. I don't have pictures because the Express website is lame and they never have anything I buy listed on the site. But I got the blouse and a chunky blue beaded necklace to go with it (I'm actually returning the necklace. It doesn't lay on the neck right.) A brown cropped cardigan. And a pair of long shorts that I call "the new spandex". They're PERFECT for working out because they're flattering and comfortable, but they're made out of 95% cotton and 5% spandex so they're not tacky like the usual spandex is. I got a pair in bright olive green!! I love 'em and I wanna get a couple pairs. Maybe when I return my necklace I'll exchange it for another pair of the shorts since I work out enough to need more than one pair.
And YES, I am still consistently working out! At LEAST every other day if not every day. I would say I've been working out 4-5 times a week. This is probably the longest I've gone without giving up on a workout routine. And the funny thing is that this is the first time that I've been working out because it makes my muscles FEEL good to be used. Usually my workout motivation is wanting a flat stomach. Well, after 2 babies that is NOT gonna happen so no expectation there. Which means now I'm just working out to feel good, to feel strong, to have better posture. I love that almost every day I can feel which of my muscles got the most exercise the day before. AND I recently learned that exercise regenerates brain cells, particularly the cells that process memory. So it's especially important to begin exercising at age 30 when the memory cells begin to deteriorate. Good timing huh? I'm super excited because I just got Yoga Booty Ballet from Netflix today. A bunch of girls at DST recommended it as a great total-body workout. I love Yoga and since I was a dancer then I figure I'm really gonna love this! I can't wait to try it out tomorrow!
Hmm, I hope I have time tomorrow. We have to take McKenna to school, then I have a dentist appointment. Then we're having dinner at my in-laws for my FILs bday. Maybe while the girls take their naps....
Well I was gonna scrap tonight but I'm still waiting on some download links for a particular product so I think I'll put it off until tomorrow night. I think I'll go fold laundry and watch tv!
Here are my two daily kid-bits:
* McKenna loves to workout with me. While I'm on the exercise bike, she waits next to me, occasionally kissing my arm or coming up behind me and playing with my hair. When I'm done, she grabs one of my 3 pound weights and I grab the other and we do our exercises together. She prefers the 10-minute pilates video because that's like acrobatics to her. She does NOT like the 15-minute express dance video. She thinks it's weird. LOL!
* Kyla has a new thing where she says "Shoo-shoo?" I have no idea what it means and I don't think it means anything particular. She just knows it makes me laugh. My favorite part of the day was when McKenna was lying on the couch and Kyla went over to her, laid her head down on Kenna's belly and McKenna stroked her hair. Then Kyla sat back up and tried to tickle McKenna's belly. She wiggles her fingers over her belly and says "tick tick tick" (tickle tickle tickle). It doesn't REALLY tickle McKenna but she gives a good-natured giggle to make Kyla think it does.

Yoga Booty Ballet, huh? Sounds cool. You will have to tell us how you like it. You have motivated me to workout! Summer is just around the corner after all. :) Swimsuit season. Yikes!
Your going to LOVE Yoga Booty Ballet!!! It's really fun!
I'm doing the Push.tv personal trainer dvd thing. And I'm on the same boat as you.. I'm actually sticking to the workout. You know what I've heard really works too? Dance Revolution on Playstation 2! Some girl at my brother's work lost 15 pounds doing the workout mode! wierd huh? I think I might do it since I love the game!
You really need to shop for me..I have completely lost the ability to shop. Plus I love your finds. I think I'm going to get that face tint, it sounds perfect for those days you don't feel like putting on "the face."
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
