Move along. Nothing to see here.

Seriously, I have nothing of value to share. Really. I just hate going more than a day without updating this thing. A successful blog must be updated regularly. If Martha Stewart gave a rip about blogs, that's what she'd tell me.

So here are just some random what-nots from my mind:

First, why am I blogging when I could be scrapping?

Second, lest you think I have not been scrapping, I feel compelled to tell you that I have done 2 LOs and a Christmas card. The LOs cannot be shared because they're submissions for Digital Memories Magazine. And the card, well, it's not my place to share another person's Christmas card. I made it for my friend, Sommer. I used the Holiday Sampler from Shabby Princess. She was very happy with how it turned out and that made me very happy to hear.

And now my next LO may very well be another submission because Digital Scrapbooking 5 is looking for new submissions. For a brief instant I toyed with the idea of submitting then I thought "Nah." But then Gina said "Are you gonna submit? You should try." And sometimes that's all it takes is a little encouraging nudge from a friend and I'm off like a lightening bolt. So anyway, that may very well be my next project because the deadline for submissions is 12/18. I have a very positive attitude about all of the recent submissions I've sent in. I have no expectation, no nerves, no worries. I will be very proud of myself if any of them are accepted. But there is massive talent in this community and I know that if I don't make it in, it's only because there are too many phenomenal works to be shared and not enough space to share them all.

Erick is at a Shooter Jennings concert tonight. He got a press-pass so that he can do a review of the concert for C6M. I'm so proud of him. They have nailed some pretty big interviews and scored some pretty sweet perks because of the success of the magazine. I look forward to seeing what 2006 has in store for the whole venture.

McKenna tricked me today. She came up to me and looked at me and said "Orange." I stared at her blankly and said "Alright?" And with that she took off running with glee shouting "Orange it is! Come on Mommy! Orange Lollipops!" LOL! Little stinker somehow tricked me into telling her she could have a lollipop! I later was telling my Dad the funny story. And 10 minutes later she thought she could trick me again. She walked up, put her little face right up to mine, looking into my eyes like she was hypnotizing me and said "Orange." LOL I don't think so. Fool me once...

She is WAY into this game she's invented called "Crocodidles". This would be where we have to run around the room screaming "AAAAH! Crocodiles!" (or for her, crocodidles) and then we "jump in the boat" (aka the couch, the bed or the laundry basket) to escape from them. We also have to run from "Allidators" and "Elphants". Sometimes, for extra fun, Daddy will run after us pretending to be whichever beast it is we're running from.

I took a cue from my friend Julie aka Jewels aka Ginnie from the show Related (ok, that's not really her but she does look exactly like her) and made a list of the pages I want to scrap. I felt like a trillion times better after writing this list. I realized I only have about 10 pages to do for McKenna's baby album and really, with digi-scrapping that is NOTHING. I can get that done in a couple of weeks if I really wanted to. So thanks for that idea J!

Speaking of Related (and therefore, television) I really need to catch up on my Tivo! I have Martha Apprentice, Related, Nanny 911, The Office, My Name is Earl, Daisy Does America and two Lifetime Christmas movies tivo'd! Maybe if SOME little munchkin didn't insist that one of her movies be on at all times (whether she's watching them or not) then I could get some of those cleared. But if I put on one of MY shows she almost instantly says "No thanks. I don't like this one. I don't watch Mommy shows."

Hmm...10:30pm....start a scrap or watch a show. Start a scrap or watch a show. Fudge. This is the cusp of the night when it's almost too late to start a scrap. You scrappers know what I'm talkin' about.

I think I will watch a show and flip through my Taste of Home magazine. Maybe I'll find some good ideas for Christmas morning. I'm hosting a family brunch for my side of the family. I already know I'm making Gingerbread Waffles and Mulled Syrup. And my Dad's girlfriend is making a breakfast casserole. So we'll see if I can find any special things to go with those.

Sorry for the mediocre post tonight. But hopefully you're either reading this at night as a sleep-inducer OR you're reading it in the morning but with a giant cup of coffee to counteract the effects of my monotony.

If you're looking for some comical reading, I highly recommend Elaine's December 6th blog post.

Well I know I'm not the Julie Jewels you're speaking of because there's no WAY I look like Jennifer Esposito!!

I think it's so awesome you're submitting your work! You're definitely good enough and you have the right attitude about it!!

What a trickster Kenna is!! LOL

How cute that she's made up that game already! And FUN that Daddy plays the part!

And FYI: even if you don't think you have anything to post, post anyways. I'm always checking your blog for a new read on the Bieger Family Adventures! :D
(oh and just to let you know, I always have to check myself on the spelling of your last name... damn that, "I" before "E" EXCEPT after "C"" rule.. it gets me all screwed up!
