Yesterday rocked!

Yesterday was a great day for me as a scrapper. First the exciting start to my day of getting accepted onto Gina's Creative Team. Not to mention I had uploaded a ton of my LOs to a couple of online galleries the night before so I was receiving great compliments from those all day long (the scrapping community rocks!) And then I saw on Lifetime Moments that one of the Design Team Members had selected my Moon Song LO as her praise choice of the day. And then, to top it all off, I got an email from Amber, the owner of Citrus Blossoms inviting me to be on her creative team as well (see note below)! What an honor to receive so much encouragement and validation yesterday. You'd think it would've given me a crazy ego but if nothing else, I actually feel very humbled by it. And it certainly encourages me to continue to grow as an artist. There is still so much to learn and it seems that every day I see a fresh idea that I want to try. I'm just happy that there is no shortage of inspiration out there in those galleries as well as so many wonderful women who are willing to share their secrets and tips!

A really nice part to my day was how Erick kept telling me how proud of me he was. He's been really supportive of my new hobby and helped me learn the basics of PSCS when I first started. He loves to see what I create and always shows lots of interest when I talk about it. Yesterday he sent me the sweetest email while he was at work to tell me how proud he was and then when he came home he insisted on taking me out to dinner to celebrate my new CT spot. I tried to brush him off like "Don't be silly, we don't need to go out" but he was really adamant about it and wanted to make a big deal out of the day for me. I have the sweetest husband! So we went out for Sushi (McKenna had McDonald's) and then he wanted to get me a gift, something "scrappy". Problem is, there isn't a ton available that isn't online. I have everything that is "out there" that I want. At least everything that I'm aware of. Until yesterday a post on 2peas reminded me of the book Designing With Digital. I'd have to order it online of course but maybe I'll take him up on that offer after all. ; )

Ok, before I go, here is the page I made for Gina's creative team webpage that we're working on. It's supposed to be a creative LO using her products that represents me.

Pieces of My Life
The papers, alpha, photo borders, epoxy sticker and plaque are from her "Birthday Blitz" kit. The brads are from her "Sugar Plum" kit. The fabric flowers are sold separately. All items available at The Digi Chick. Stitching is from her "Birthday Girl" freebie. Font is Anke Calligraphic FG.

Note: I did not accept the CT position at Citrus Blossoms. Although I would've loved to be a part of the team, the guidelines for the CT were not something I could commit to at this time.
