Kyla's 2 month appointment and what-not

Can you believe she's two months already? I swear it just zips by. She had her well-baby visit today and she weighs 11 lbs. 13 oz. and is 22 in. That is almost exactly what McKenna was at the same age. McKenna was 11 lbs. 15 oz. and 22 in.

Kyla had to get FOUR shots. It was so sad. She's the baby who rarely cries and let me tell you she sure let out a fierce one today. Heart-breaking. Poor little thing. Also, since she's now 2 months...I'll post her MONTH TWO pics within the next day or two.

McKenna had preschool today. They sent home a placemat she'd worked on last week. They wanted to laminate it as a gift for the parents so we just got it today. I about cried it was so precious. So be sure to check out McKenna's art gallery. The last 4 projects are the latest additions.

Next Thursday is Thanksgiving so she doesn't have school that day. But the kid's and their parents are invited to come together on Wednesday for a class Thanksgiving Lunch. Erick is off on Wednesdays so we'll all go. We're bringing rolls and lunch meat. Someone remind me so I don't forget. ; )

I have a few musical addictions right now. I added them to my links list at the right. Jen gets full blame for the Alanis hook because everytime I visit her blog I have to watch the Alanis video she has playing. It's just one of those songs that I think so many women feel totally defines them. Love it.

And Steve is faulted for my new love of Katie Melua since he pointed me in her direction when I inquired about "the chick that covers Just Like Heaven". To hear one of the most gorgeous songs ever, find a way to hear "I Cried For You" off her "Pieces to Pieces" album.

I'm seriously thinking I might want my own ipod. It never fails. I always fight the latest technology but somehow Erick always manages to convince me of it's merits.

Well, I just wanted to post a quick update. And also share my newest LO.

Moon Song
Credits: Papers & frames from Gina Miller's "Andy's Charm" kit. Paper moon & star cut-out from Gina Cabrera's "Mother's Love" kit. Fonts are: Starry Night, MA Brownie Too, MA Sexy. Lyrics are from "Catch the Moon" by Lisa Loeb and Elizabeth Mitchell. Journaling says: McKenna, my little moon bird -you love the moon so very much. Every time you see it from our window, you ask to sing “the moon song”. So we go outside and we sing and dance and you tell me all about how you want to touch the moon. You tell me that it’s too high to reach but that you want to take Mommy, Daddy and Kyla with you in a “rocket ship”so that we can all go touch the moon together. It’s the first of what I hope will be many dreams you’ll have. May they all come true.

Ok, off to watch Apprentice. Ah, Tivo. Yet another technology that I was resistent to.

The art album is looking great! I love her purple pilgrim. ;) I have been meaning to do the hand-print turkeys with Em but keep forgetting. I'm too wrapped around Christmas crafts! LOL

I can't remember what it's like to have an 11lb baby; seems so long ago! Sorry she had to get 4 shots. Ouch! : (

Cute lo!! I must agree- Tim convinced me of an ipod awhile ago and I love it :) You can have all that great music at a click of a button. Mine is already half way filled and that is a LOT of music!
Isn't it sad how fast they grow? You still have quite a little peanut there- Addie was aleady quite bit at 2 months ;) Enjoy it while you can!
