So Proud of My Girls!

I absolutely had to journal these two things.

Today I came in the living room and McKenna said excitedly "Mom! Kyla just walked holding my hand!" Kyla gave me this excited look that I swear said "Watch me Mommy!" and she reached out for McKenna who grabbed her hand. And then she stood up and the two of them walked all around the living room, dancing and running!! She's really getting the hang of this walking thing!

And then also today, McKenna was walking around with a blanket over her head so she could be Mary and she was carrying her pink penguin in a blanket (baby Jesus of course) and she put the "baby Jesus" in her "manger" (her baby cradle) and asked me if I'd pray with her. I asked her if she was ready to ask Jesus to live in her heart. Keep in mind that this is not the first time I've asked her and she usually tells me "Weeeeellll....not right now." LOL! This time she excitedly said "YES!" So we prayed together and she repeated what I would say, thanking Jesus for coming to be born and for dying for our sins, thanking him for forgiveness and salvation and asking him to be her savior. Afterward she called her Daddy and her Auntie to say "Woohoo! I'm a Christian! Are you a Christian?"

Only God knows at what age He holds a person accountable for their actions and at what age salvation becomes necessary. So whether or not this is the moment of her rebirth, I do not know. But I do know this is the beginning of her walk. There will be many questions she will have along the way before she really owns her faith and I am so thrilled to see her begin this journey:

December 23, 2006 - McKenna prays and asks Jesus into her heart. The best Christmas gift we could hope for.
